"Golden Gate Bridge"

This piece was done as a gift for my Mother-In-Law who has many fond memories of living in California.

"Cathedral"

This piece was commissioned by a friend of mine.

"First United Methodist Church"

A local church that I have admired since I was a little girl. A few years ago, I had the privilege of attending a friend's wedding in this church.

"Grandma's Love"

This was inspired by my Mother-In-Law and my 3-year-old daughter. I loved the juxtaposition of my daughter’s small, delicate fingers against my Mother-In-Law’s hands which show the many years of knitting, cooking, and love. The challenge of making the hands look alive was incredibly interesting and I think that I came close to that achieving that goal.

"Holiday Travels"

I have always been enthralled by trains. I love the romance of trains through history, taking people to places unknown. This work was my attempt to capture that excitement. I hope that viewers will wonder where this train is going. In my imagination, it held a young family traveling to Grandma’s house for Christmas; traveling through the silence of a snowy hill.

"Daylily Trio"

Graphite Drawings

"Daylily"
This piece were the result of an afternoon of summer gardening with my girls. I was struck by the simple beauty of the flowers, as well as the way the shadows fell as the sun shined on the petals. Drawing objects in nature is one of my favorite things to do.
